Welcome to Makolaa, LLC (“Makolaa,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our e-commerce multi-vendor site (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Platform, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the Platform.
By registering, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
To use the Platform, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement.
Sellers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their respective countries. Sellers are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses or permits to sell their products on Makolaa. Shops on the Platform must be owned at least 80% by a verified Black-owned business or independent seller.
Sellers must create an account to list and sell products on Makolaa. Sellers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities under their account.
All product listings must be accurate, not misleading, and comply with Makolaa’s policies. Listings must include:
Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring their products comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to safety, labeling, and consumer protection.
Sellers must fulfill orders promptly and communicate effectively with buyers regarding order status and shipping. Sellers are responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products.
Sellers may not list or sell any items prohibited by Makolaa’s policies or applicable laws. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
Buyers may be required to create an account to make purchases. Buyers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
Buyers agree to purchase products in accordance with the terms specified by the seller, including payment, shipping, and return policies.
All transactions on Makolaa are processed through Stripe. By using Makolaa, you agree to comply with Stripe’s terms and conditions.
Makolaa charges sellers a 10% flat transaction fee for each completed sale. The fee structure is detailed on our “Fees and Payments” page.
Payouts to sellers are processed via Stripe. Sellers are responsible for ensuring their payout information is accurate.
Makolaa encourages buyers and sellers to resolve disputes directly. If resolution is not achieved, Makolaa may mediate at its discretion.
Refunds are subject to the seller’s return and refund policy, which must be clearly stated on the product listing. Buyers should contact sellers directly for refund requests.
Sellers retain ownership of the content they upload but grant Makolaa a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content to operate the Platform.
Users may not use Makolaa’s name, logo, or other proprietary information without prior written consent.

Makolaa reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account or access to the Platform for violations of these Terms or any applicable laws.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Makolaa is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
