They say “Necessity is the mother of invention.” and losing our glasses became the catalyst for a much larger mission. It wasn’t just about creating a solution to our personal frustrations—it was about addressing a significant gap in the market. We realized that eyewear was largely one-dimensional in the sizing – nose bridges were too narrow, lenses too small and temples too short. In addition, there were no designs celebrating the rich patterns and textures of Black culture and heritage.
Vontélle was born out of a desire to offer something vibrant, meaningful, and inclusive. We wanted to create eyewear that not only fits comfortably but also tells a story—our story—through designs inspired by the African and Latin Diaspora. By transforming frustration into innovation, we saw an opportunity to celebrate our identity and bring representation to an industry that left several facial features out of the design and construction of eyewear. This isn’t just about selling glasses; it’s about reclaiming space in an industry where our stories and aesthetics are often overlooked, and creating opportunities for others to see themselves represented in ways they never imagined.
We accept returns within 30 days. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at [email protected]. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. No, we do not offer overnight shipping.
We ship to the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and military APO/DPO/FPO addresses. We ship internationally for an extra fee based on current carrier prices.
Please contact our customer service immediately [email protected]. Please put DAMAGED PACKAGE in the subject line. We will work with you to get your damaged glasses replaced with a new pair as soon as possible. You will be required to return the damaged pair.
